Khalid refused to apologise to Sultan for falsely invoking his name

After it came out that the Sultan of Selangor never asked Khalid Ibrahim to call a Syura Council to consider the DUMC case, the Selangor Government issued a statement saying they will change the name of the council to a Hearing Council because 'they listen and adheres to His Highness's advice'..

Whoa, if you do adhere to the Sultan's advice and respect him , you should run to the Palace and apologise to Tuanku Sultan Sharafuddin for falsely invoking his name and trying to pin the blame on the DUMC case on the ruler.

Since Khalid was not alone in the meeting, he knows he has no excuse for invoking the Sultan in his decision to set up the Syura Council.

I feel this is pure insult of His Highness.

Is Pakatan planning to change the Malaysian flag?

I refer to this stupid post on one of their blogs

If flying the Jalur Gemilang is equal to flying the Umno/BN flag then it only goes to bear that if Pakatan wins, they will have to change the flag.

This may sound stupid but I am not willing to rule out anything.

Things are changing so fast these days that it would not bee to far fetched to see people protesting the Malaysian flag.

They may not like the crescent because it represents the official religion, Islam - they may argue that it imposes unreasonable identity on the country and impinges on the identity of non-Muslims

They may want to get rid of the colour yellow because that represents the Monarchy and they don't like or wish to have a monarchy in the country.

They will definitely protest against the dark blue because it is too close to the colour of Barisan Nasional.

So in the end the new Malaysian flag may look like this

Rationale for new flag:

The one eye is of course the symbol of 'awakening' and 'justice' as preached by Anwar
The seven bars represent the seventh PM, ie Anwar
White represents the purity of Anwar
Red represents the blood of Anwar

Given that everything in this country now centres around Anwar, why not make the flag to represent him first...

ADALAH saya dititah oleh D.Y.M.M. Sultan Selangor merujuk kepada kenyataan yang terdapat dalam media cetak, media elektronik dan media alternatif pada hari ini 23 Ogos 2011 berhubung dengan Penubuhan Majlis Penasihat Syura oleh Kerajaan Negeri Selangor.
D.Y.M.M. Sultan Selangor amat terkejut dan menitahkan kepada saya membuat penjelasan tentang pendirian Baginda mengenai isu kenyataan tersebut, yang menyatakan D.Y.M.M. Sultan Selangor menitahkan atau mencadangkan supaya Kerajaan Negeri menubuhkan Majlis Penasihat Syura adalah sama sekali tidak benar.
Apa yang berlaku ialah Y.A.B. Tan Sri Dato' Seri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, Dato' Menteri Besar Selangor telah menyembah maklum kepada D.Y.M.M. Sultan Selangor mengenai hasrat beliau untuk memanggil dan berjumpa dengan pihak pengurusan Gereja Methodist Damansara Utama (DUMC) bagi mendapatkan penjelasan berhubung dengan isu pemeriksaan oleh pihak Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (JAIS) di gereja tersebut pada hari Rabu, 3 Ogos 2011 yang lalu. Beliau bercadang untuk membawa bersama Sahibus Samahah Dato' Seri Utama Diraja Mufti Selangor.
D.Y.M.M. Sultan Selangor tidak menghalang hasrat Y.A.B. Dato' Menteri Besar Selangor memanggil pihak gereja bersama-sama dengan Sahibus Samahah Dato' Seri Utama Diraja Mufti Selangor, tetapi Baginda menasihatkan supaya Y.A.B. Dato' Menteri Besar Selangor menjemput sekali Sahibus Samahah Timbalan Mufti Selangor untuk memberi nasihat bagi perkara-perkara yang berkaitan dengan hukum hakam syariah dan tidak menyentuh sama sekali isu pemeriksaan gereja oleh JAIS.
Oleh yang demikian, isu tentang D.Y.M.M. Sultan Selangor menitahkan atau menasihatkan Kerajaan Negeri Selangor menubuhkan Majlis Penasihat Syura adalah tidak benar. Pendirian D.Y.M.M. Sultan Selangor berkaitan dengan Majlis Penasihat Syura ataupun berbentuk dialog berkaitan agama, tidak pernah diperkenankan kerana Negeri Selangor telah mempunyai Majlis Agama Islam Selangor (MAIS), Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (JAIS) dan Jabatan Mufti Negeri Selangor.

Malaysiakini proving again that they lack good reporters

TJust read the highly loaded and editorialised kicked for theri vox populi section,

BTW, if you get your news from just the Vox Populi section of Malaysiakini, you would probably kill yourself because you would think Malaysia should have collapsed three days ago if it were not for Anwar Ibrahim and DAP.

I wonder why their 'probing' reporter thinks that the Sultan and MB should not of every raid or operations that JAIS conducts on a regular basis. Is this how things are run in their world?

As far as I know operations are not run with the consent of the Sultan or MB, just as DBKL enforcement division can go on operations without telling the Mayor, enough that the enforcement chief has given his or her approval.

And, the fact that they did not inform the Sultan or MB before inspecting the DUMC site does not prove that there is a political conspiracy.

And for those yapping about the delay in Jais's report, please search the blogs and find copies of the report already circulating, it is the MB who is stalling on making statements after the report has been completed

Sodomy 2.0: Statement from the dock has hurt Anwar's case more than helped it

The Sodomy case against Anwar Ibrahim has gone to newheights of ridiculousness with the Opposition leader indulging in adolescentdiatribe from the dock.

Here is one person who thinks that he has scored a majorgoal by quoting playwrights and famous people from the dock as he runs down thejudge, judiciary and his political enemies.

Here is a person that has been allowed the privilege toindulge in this anomaly and he wants the world to sit back and think that hehas, somehow, been victimized.

The fact is, the petty political palaver delivered a massiveblow to his own credibility as the nation scratches it’s collective headwondering why he never bothered to persuade Malaysians that the case ispolitically motivated.

He offered no crumbs of evidence that could even satisfy thefence sitters who want to believe that he is facing political prosecution.

Instead they are left confused about the message.

Anwar can quote the regal and respected Nelson Mandela allhe wants but no one will ever confuse the scandal smeared Opposition leader forthe proud and decorated leader of the Anti-Apartheid movement who continues tolead a life unblemished by scandal of any sort.

From there, it went to pieces.

Anwar’s decision to try and discredit the prosecution’s casefrom the dock is like telling the enemy exactly the course of action that thedefence wishes to take.

What is really glaring is that Anwar failed to create anysense of victimization in the current situation, there are no airtight alibisto tear him away from the accusation and this leaves the people to judge himbased on political pleadings, not the best strategy even at the best of times.

Strange and damaging though that episode of politicalgrandstanding may be, the icing on the cake came today when the PKR insiststhat the system has no choice but to pass a ‘guilty’ verdict and that wouldbestow Anwar more honour in the fashion of Nelson Mandela.

That I think perfectly frames the exaggerated sense ofself-importance that has infected the mind of Anwar Ibrahim and, clearly, hehas passed that on to his party.
